We admit that we haven't done a whole lot of decor

We admit that we haven't done a whole lot of decorating at home for fall or Halloween this year. Between moving just a few short weeks ago, and expecting our baby girl in a couple months (gee January is fast approaching!) we focused our time and energy on preparing our new home for our growing family. However, there are still little decorative touches we've added to our home that give nod to the season! ⁠

Such as a bowl full of seasonal fruits, or a season scented candle! These perfect pears are a great example of just that! They come in so many of the fall colours, and like fall leaves, they change colour as they ripen. And of course there's the countless pear desert recipes to keep us warm, cozy, full, and happy on these chilly nights! Poached pears, cranberry-pear pie, baked pears with walnuts and honey, pear and ginger walnut muffins! Yes please! We'll have all the above!⁠

Our clients wanted to be able to come home after a long day to a space that felt luxurious and inviting - where they could unwind and relax. So among beautiful finishes, and warm brushed gold hardware, we also incorporated a freestanding tub that sits beside a built-in fireplace for a feeling of ultimate relaxation!

Here is a detail shot from our recent penthouse project, where we mix shape, scale, and texture on this ottoman. A coffee table/ottoman, sitting in the center of a space, can really change the look and feel - from wood and metal ones, to glass and fabric ones - they can be formal or informal. In this case we wanted to create a living space that was a little more casual and relaxed. So we grounded the space with this fabric ottoman, ideal for putting your feet up on, then dressed it up with a tray and accessories. And juxtaposing shape, colour, and pattern brings visual interest.⁠
